The company offers fuel cells, universal FPRs, fuel injectors, Radium catch can kits & AOS, fuel pumps, fuel pulse dampers, Radium fuel surge tank kits, and a range of hardware and accessories for all of the aforementioned products, all designed for high performance and racing.
The 2016 - 2018 Ford Focus RS Dual Catch Can K it includes a PCV and Crankcase catch can that mount on the front left bulkhead and the high pressure fuel pump using custom brackets for the Focus RS. An oil catch can is essential on a performance vehicle to protect the engine from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated from high performance driving. Excess oil saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance. The Radium Engineering catch can kits are the most functional and integrated kits on the market. The catch cans mount using factory holes and integrate perfectly with the surrounding components. These two oil catch cans (PCV side and Crankcase side) function completely independent of each other and are sold individually or together. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), thus are emissions and track legal.
Closed loop systems remove the oil and sludge from the PCV gasses before it is routed to the engine to be burned. A closed loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance.
Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. The dipsticks built into the catch cans allow easy inspection of accumulated fluid. No cutting, drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle is required. Crankcase Catch CanThis catch can runs inline with the crankcase breather port.
At low loads it experiences atmospheric pressure, but when the engine is at high load (WOT), this hose will experience high flow out of the crankcase. This would normally lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe. Oil accumulation will occur in the intercooler which lowers the thermal efficiency properties of the heat exchanger and leads to decreased performance. PCV Catch CanThis catch can runs inline with the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve and retains it's factory function. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV 'check' valve closes and, thus, this hose experiences no flow.
Conversely, the PCV hose will experience 'metered' vacuum when the engine is idling, steady state cruising, and decelerating. This would normally draw unwanted crankcase vapor, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after a high load run. Note: Because the Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, they are great for this boosted application so intake manifold connection is permitted.
If you care about your engine you'll install a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) oil catch can. This separates oil, fuel and water that your PCV system otherwise moves back into the manifold. When that happens surfaces get coated in nasty black gunk, your fuel/air mixture shifts and you risk oil contamination. A dirty mass airflow sensor can upset performance and fuel economy, and in a boosted engine gunk can even reduce intercooler efficiency.

Every engine benefits from an oil catch can installation, but the benefits are greater on older engines with greater cylinder/ring blow-by.The PCV system is there for emissions. It doesn't care about your engine. When you install an oil catch can you're adding a bowl that collects oil mist and condensed fuel and water.
This settles to the bottom and stays there until you drain it at the next oil change. A drain plug makes that an easy job, and some catch cans even have a sight window so you can see when they need emptying. High-quality catch cans add a filter that catches more gunk and feeds cleaner air back to the manifold.Boosted engines need a more sophisticated catch can systems. Increased manifold pressure can reverse flow through the PCV, so make sure you buy an appropriate kit. Look for a check valve along with all the hoses and fittings. At MAPerformance we carry oil catch can kits that fit almost every vehicle.
Whether you're driving an Evo, a WRX or something else, we have what you need. The kits we carry come from premium manufacturers like Mishimoto, Boomba Racing and Radium Engineering and they include everything you'll need. You'll get the catch pan itself plus mounting bracket(s) hoses and pipe fittings. And best of all, you'll get the support of MAPerformance technical specialists should you find you need some help.
Don't delay, show your engine some love right now!
